Default Motor /ESC help needed!

Hello people, I need to know if I can use an 1/8 ESC with a 1/10 motor..??
The ESC is Hobbyking brand(150A) and the motor is an LRP 7.5 brushless, will be used with 2s LiPo.
I'll appreciate any help.

I cant see why not, have a look in the ESC manual for the input voltage and if it supports 540 sized motors?
otherwise call the manufacturer/distrubutor?
