do you need 65c lipo?

Companies are going to continue to make lipos more powerful even though most racers will not need a pack like this.

I bought one at IIC and ran it the whole week. I love it. That said, the guy that won stock and had the fastest laps all weekend was running a TP 25C. So, no, you probably don't need it. If you're in the market for a new pack, though, it's nice to know the latest (at the same price point) is rated higher than the pack it replaced.

There's only 2 differences:
Cheap packs usually won't be as fast in mod and power hungry classes, due to amp draw issues. I have had even IP packs puff in mod sprint car on dirt oval..TP never fails, including my old ass 40c 5000.
And on the puff issue, the cheaper packs seem to puff more often. The TP packs I have are going strong, and the aforementioned 5000 40c has seen many cycles in sedan, dirt oval, f1, etc. etc. in the 1 1/2 years i have had it. They take abuse.
In the end, I have quite a few packs of different types, but i really only need/use the 2 TP packs i have.

I think TP or SMC cant be beat for Batteries. My 9 month old 5200 50c's dont feel much different to my new 5300 65c except maybe that last minute when you are always going to get a bit of Voltage drop. I have a 4200 40c that does not feel much different till the 4 minute mark either. Awesome batteries that are well worth the Investment.

I have not had problems with my "cheap" lipos.

You guys hear about team orion 90c 6500mah packs!!!!According to Orion, the wires can't handle the output! I think it's time to put a limit on C ratings for safety reasons! What's next atomic 200c packs that can explode like TNT! It's not going to make any difference.........
