Motor Spacer, Who Has That?
Can anyone help me with this. I'd like to be able to move my motor a few mm to play with weight distribution.
Tamiya has this but it's too thick to my likings:
Square have this but I don't want the radiator:

why not just use 2 washers with a >3 mm hole?
Maybe some suspension mount spacers like these?

I suspect the motor mount bolts would bend in a hard crash if doing that since the whole mounting surface of the motor is not supported. You could play around with washers to get the right balance you want and then get a local machine shop to make you a plate of the right thickness out of aluminium. Just leave a motor can with them for them to get the right spacing of all the holes needed and any small machine shop should be able to bang one out in no time.

The tamiya one you show seems light... you could sand it carefully on 1000 sand paper to remove the extra thickness.
I bought a RW spacer a few years ago, but it was maybe 3mm thick which seems to much for you. A bit on the heavy side, too, which is a bit annoying when you are trying to remove weight from that very location of the car by moving the motor away.

You could just go to a hardware store like Home Depot in the US (if those exist in Belgium), and get something called a fender washer. They come in various diameters, and then you could drill your own motor screw holes.
Something like this:

You could get a 1 1/2" hole saw and cut out discs from aluminum sheets of different thicknesses. I think Home Depot has different thicknesses of anodized aluminum sheet.

Yeah lap it down to your desired thickness. Use lower grit to start, then finish with 1000 then 2000 for mirror finish. Those ribbings will look good; silver on blue background
