what is this hillbilly link I keep hearing about? Does someone have a pic to share.
Is anyone considering the aluminum upper clamp that RC market sells that already has the vertical holes in them?

What's a good size to start out 12th scale tires on the X11? I'm guessing 41mm-front and 43mm-rear.

Also, what ride height?

kobiwan: the hillbilly link is when you attach the front camber link via a ballstud to the front bulkhead instead of the shock tower. Basically, you screw in a ballstud to the bulkhead on the backside of where the bottom 2 screws for the shock tower are. This allows the use of an extra-long camber link up front. Sorry, can't find any picture of it right now.

http://forum.teamxray.com/viewtopic....8868&start=280 Picture of HB link.

The item from RC market is not as inboard as the HB link.

Many of the team setups are geared torwards the mains with high traction, but my local track has low-med. Thanks.
The setups may be a little different, but the "feel" of the T3 is more like the 008 was than the 009 or the 009 motor forward car. The 008 is/was a very good car.

Do you still run the stock camber link for the HB link mod?

I think they are too short. I used some spare steering links for my setup.

It is something you may want to try. It makes more steering for sure.

Dorian, yes that is a good tire size to start with. You always want a 2mm split. Ride height is 3mm to 3.5mm.

No the link needs to be longer, I think 35mm links work.

Thanks Drew

Drew,

If I show up at the next X-Ray challenge tweaked on crack, will you buy my nitro-4tec? Or will you just pawn me off onto the nitro drivers spilling off the drivers stand? Even if I am wearing a Denver Bronco's jersey?

Looks like I waited too long and my car won't be shipped until the second shipment. DOH!

Just wear an RCAmerica shirt...no one will even think twice about buying that 4-tec. Is it the WC edition?

Hey Drew,
I have my new NT1 half built. Its going together really smooth. We will probably start it up this weekend to make sure everything is good. This is the first car I've built start to finish since dad usually does it so Im learning a lot about the car. Im sure we will see you at a track somewhere soon. Thanks again for all your help in Memphis.
Emily
