Default What about personal transponders?

What do you guys think about personal transponders?

Do they hold up well?

Who manufactures them and who sells them?

Personal transponders are good because you don't have to worry about getting and returning it when you race.

You usually mount these on top of the servo or a dedicated transponder mount that comes with the car.

AMB makes solid transponders for R/C applications.

Thanks for your help. Would you have a couple web sights to check? amb.com doesn't work and I can't find a store that has AMB products.

The For Sale/For Trade forum has some AMB transponders for sale.

You might want to check your Local Hobby Shop as well.

Thanks again for all your help.

If they're the track rental ones, you can just get an Associated TC3 Blue Anodized Dummy transponder.

the regular one you borrow from the track.

None of the tracks I go to have the AMB personal transponder system.

But, I would be interested to know both if you know the dimensions of each

There are several companies that produce dummy transponders. HUDY, AE are the ones I am aware of.
