I tried this and would recommend to everyone running it to look closely at the top deck after installing the post and make sure it isn't bowed up slightly. The post I used was also from the original T3 and although it should be the correct height it was slightly too tall and caused the top deck to flex upward in the middle. Lay the chassis flat on blocks or a setup board and try to slide the post under the top deck towards the front bulkheads and see if it catches on the top deck. If it does the post is too tall and will cause the top deck to bow up.

Where the camber link hooks to the bulkhead? Holes in the ball cups on them?

About time, for the top link mounts.
Though very disapointing to see a Spec-R gear diff still installed, how hard is it for them to make a new mold for the half of the casing from the NT1.

Also, notice that the back of the top deck is cut?

Yes but the holes in the ball cups I think they have had for a little while. Bulkhead camber link mounts are new.

Yea thats something that we have done in the past in a pinch to find rear traction quickly. It does work but usually its a little neater than that! LOL

Yes, but I think, for reasons I'd rather not put out here, I think you guys (Drew, you and Paul) are more onto where it should be. The fix I see here is going to hurt them or at least really limit the direction they should be going.

THose aren't the Max Carbon version though are they.

Perhaps Xray are working on their own.

They are the Xray ones. The other ones only have 2 holes in them I think and you cant make the link super long like with the xray ones.

the car has a whole nuther feel to it from what I've been running the past few years, its super smooth feeling and planted for the most part, we race in a old airplane hanger, temp outside was in the 20s, 40s inside, carpet temp was 44, and sweep 32's after a 6 minute run were a whooping 56 degrees. but still the car felt great.

Nice..can't wait to see them as options. Also an aluminum steering bell crank as well? It would be cool if they could make it with quick tune ackerman from each post, either way nice. Is that a new upper deck?

I'm putting my car together now and it's a real treat. As always Xray goes together perfect and attention to every detail. It's a work of art. It will be great to get the future options I like as well.

My favorite part is seeing both servo posts being used with an LRP esc and the receiver and esc flat on the chassis!

I think I can put my Futaba on it's side and get the Tekin mounted. Not much room though.

im I the only one who noticed the extra stiffener in the front of the topdeck ?

you dont need a micro reciver to put both a tekin and the reciver flat. i was able to put my Sanwa 801 servo in the short servomount hole. and runs a sanwa 2.4 ghz reciver (old version) and a tekin. only problem is that you are not able to use all the motor movement. but i can gear 5.0 with a 106 tooth spurgear. i dont think i need more in a 17.5 boosted class
