Xray T3 2011

the hole in the middle of the chassis, is it for a post to stiffen the chassis at the center? coz its aligned to the upper deck hole which i just used for the belt tensioner?

the centre hole i thinks was meant for a belt tensioner and there isn't a lot of people running a belt tensioner. so i have placed an aluminum post in its place so the top deck does not compress during a collision but allow flex side to side. adding a post in my testing has tamed the car a little not a lot but just enough, the post was from the t3 original kit.

I was just tooling around the xray site and i see alot of option parts out there like H and L quick roll center adjustments and things of that nature. this got me thinking
when you purchase a t3 '11 what kind of options/extras need to be purchased with it.
also i looked and didnt find it. is there a t2 to t3 part spread sheet that says which parts cross over between chassis. if so can some on link it for me. thanks

I hear a lot of "hype" on the spec-R gear differential, those and the "hard" camber links are options that are worth looking at if your willing to experiment with the car.
Hope that helps.

If you go onto the xray site and t3 then downloads there is a cross over parts sheet to download there.

does the new 11 kit come with the ESC in the front? if not should you get the 50 or 52 for the front?

Hey guys,
What would be a good pinion and spur gear combo for a 17.5 Boosted class? Obviously this will depend some on the track I run on, but I just looking for a good starting point.
Thanks, I am new to Onroad and am still learning.

This would really depend on how wide your going to run the front of the car. If your going with a Paul L setup (wide) then get the 52mm, if your planning on running the car narrow in the front then the 50mm. Of course you should consider the aluminum outdrives as well. Another option if your thinking of getting the 50mm shafts, is to trim a 1mm plastic washer to fit between the spool and the outdrives,on both sides, this will move the outdrives out just a little and get the tip of the shaft away from the edge of the outdrive and hopefully save you from breaking the outdrives themselves.
I run mostly on carpet so the car is usually wide in the front and I use 52mm ECSs.
(The washer deal between the outdrive can be used for the stock plastic outdrives too, if your running the 50mm shafts.)

If your running 64 pitch, i would run 33 pinion and 104 spur, of course watch you temps after 3 minutes.

uum how do I put this, first night out with the new car and well, performance wasn't as great as I had hoped.... I won by only 1.3 seconds
#2 also had a 011 and was closing but got caught at the line.
