Well no one has proven what I was told wrong yet either. Honestly it made no sense to me, but that's what I was told. Besides the T3'11 was released sooner than the T3. How many kits made it to the US? Until we see numbers you don't know squat either. I've only seen one T3 at our track. There are a lot of older Xrays, but only one T3 and he's a team driver. A 008 has been on the shelf at my LHS since it came out. Given what I've seen at my track and what I've been told a reasonable person could believe it's possible, but I would hope not. Make any sense now? Why go on and on with this? I think I made my point clear, and any sensible person could understand why I came to this conclusion. 
Xray makes good products so it's not a matter or quality, so I guess it's a matter of perception or cost. IDK for sure, but I wonder.
