Default Buying second hand T3

Looking to upgrade from excellent 08 to T3. Without having to trawl through all these pages can someone please outline the pitfalls of the car and/or things i should look at when i buy? Cheers

Make sure it's a T3'11. Easily the best car they have made and I've owned each model since having a 008 like you.

As the build quality etc is the same as yours and I believe some of the parts are even still the same I don';t think you can go wrong unless it's been heavily abused.

As with any second-hand TC, the most important parts to check are the diff/spool outdrives and driveshafts. If these are heavily worn and need replacing it can set you back what you paid for the car.

It is a T3 10 not the 11. Is there a big difference?

Yes. For starters the 2011 has a dual bellcrank steering setup and also is lipo optimized!

Bought the new Xray Gear Diff, very smooth, very happy

Question on TRF shocks, will they fit straight on? Are they a similar length to the standard xray shocks? After running a TCX for a little while, the only thing I think that xray need to fix with their next car is dump their current shocks and make some new ones.

The Xray Shocks are only 20 billion years old
They really need to update them and make them easier to build
