Xray T3 2011

Anyone here have any "firm" testing of the Xray "hard" plastic vs the "medium" composite. Is there an advantage to one? I.e. less prone to breakage, more grip, tunability, etc? If so, perhaps you could explain your findings. I've tried to read up in older threads but never seem to hit the answers I've wanted over time.
Secondly, does anyone still run the aluminum hardware, (knuckles, hubs, c-hubs) that was a popular trend back in the 04' - 08' days? I wasn't sure if something like that was worth considering to keep. If it helps at all I run on both carpet and asphalt so different perspectives of both would be great!

The aluminum parts feel more like medium parts but more prone to bending rather than breaking which can lead you astray if chasing a ill handling car. The unsprung weight is a disadvantage as well, but the durability can't be overlooked. If I'm at a track where I'm taking out parts I'll switch over just to make sure I can finish. Most notably are the rear uprights, if you're smacking a board enough to loosen the top camber link I'd consider changing just to keep the car setup more consistent and durable over the slight performance change the part makes.

Tech Regular

My T3'11 is getting pretty worn out it was converted from a T3 and has done alot of racing. I don't want to buy lots of parts and it is also going to need a chassis soon. I keep looking at other cars but the Xray has been a good car, how long before a new version will be out ?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I reckon within 2-3 months time
as usuall...
But I dont think Its not gonna be a radical change new chassis for servo and top deck +2 more screw point on top deck near spurgear... you can see @pic.

You need some servo tape that's all...

Go to the xray web site (http://forum.teamxray.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=11252) and in the forum section the question was asked of Alex Hagberg, lots of pics and description on how to do it.

Here is the method I used. Drilled hole in the right hand steering arm for the stock ball to mount to.
Works well, done a couple of race meets on it so far.
You have to chop off the old servo turnbuckle mount, so you will ned to buy new arms if you want to go back.

Got one of those on order from rcmushroom! Have you tested the exotek chassis out yet? Improvement over stock?
