Anyone have a good setup for rubber/asphalt, medium grip, high speed layout for the older style upper camber link setup? I dont have the new bulkhead caps yet but want a good starting point. BTW it's for 17.5 blinky. Thanks in advance!

I bet kit setup with 500cst oil all around and the rear shock laid in a hole would be pretty solid starting point. You can adjust camber, wheelbase, and all that other junk to your liking.

Thanks Korey!

BTW, nice having you down at Norcal Hobbies the last onroad race day. Didn't finish as well as I thought you could but hey, everyone has one of those days. You raced at Cap City too? Man you really take this toy car racing thing seriously!

Yea...

Apparently my skin got a lot darker, and I got a lot taller at Cap city. Then I got shorter and gained some weight at Norcal.

All in fun. I think it's pretty awesome my buddies down there still try to mess with me from afar

what else can I do besides the above? I started off with kit setup, but the car is very rear end happy, on power AND off power. It's got to be the loosest standard kit setup I have ever driven. I tried a lower rear roll center, took off the rear bar. Could it be the way I built the shocks? I have about 3/4 rebound.....next on my list of things to do, is drill a hole in the shock caps and go for 0 rebound, wider front hex's, go an extra hole in on the rear shock tower.

I ran Eric Anderson's set up from the Snow Birds, found on X-Rays web site, car pushed a little too much for my liking so, I went back to standard wheel hex's in front, leaned the front shocks in 1 hole and she took off. With EA's or Paulies set up you will eliminate the loose rear end!

Both Paul and my setups are a little pushy especially on lower bite tracks. As the traction comes up they usually pick up steering and are even better. Taking a little toe away from the rear also will help it turn a little more on lower bite.

Default rear loose

EA's Snowbird setup for carpet? I run asphalt, should it still be pushy on asphalt? I don't mind a pushy car right now.

I've just made some rear camber link changes now to inside lower, and on the setup station its proven to provide more camber gain, rear toe in to 4degree, 0 shim under uprights. I know its not a good practice to do multiple changes at once, but I just don't have enough time to test before the next race. See how she goes.......

what's the difference between these quick roll center holders?
303033, comes with kit
and
303032, optional

surely not just the color, and included ball joint?

Yes I was running on asphalt with the carpet s/u, except for the changes I noted.

Kit quick roll center holders allow longer chamber link, optional ones are standard length from previous generation kits, (2009 and earlier)
