If you run boosted profiles stick to the D3. I had a revtech that did not like being boosted. The D3 on the other hand loves it

I must agree with Ben, had all sorts of problems with the revtech in 17.5 boosted so went back to the d3 and the problems disappeared.

anyone?

You are correct in your guess. 3.2" (82mmish) is a good start.

3.95"-4.05" is a good start for blinky.

This seems to be a developing theme. D3 for general/boosted, RevTech for general/blinky.

I was looking at Aug 2011 issue of Xtreme RC Cars and the ad reads as follows:

More Mechanical Timing for A Horsepower Edge In Blinky stock Classes

Maybe the added timing is why it's not a good boosted motor, I'm putting mine in my blinky car.

Its been a while since I ran a Tekin but those lights blinking I believe indicate a sensor issue. First check the sensor wire - replace it to eliminate that as the issue, then see if you can borrow another motor to check that - its possibly the sensor board on the motor but check the cable first.

Do you have a booster or reciever battery pack hooked up?

I actually believe there are no lights to indicate sensor problems, except for the 3 dim lights that alternate as you spin the motor if the sensor is reading.

I think 12, 67 lights are low voltage cutoff, but I am not sure. Check on the Tekin thread.

Maybe try emailing them and ask for some help. I am sure it was a mistake as they dont send out "motor in pieces in a huge box" on purpose. Mistakes do happen but if you dont call and tell them how the hell are they supposed to fix it? They dont get on here and read this forum at all.

Did email them. Got no response.

I'm sorry but who ever packed this package up did not make a mistake. They just don't care. It was thrown together.
I'd figure someone here would know. There is no harm in asking.
