Default What size lipo fits in Associated TC3 stock battery compartment?

I recently got a used TC3 and want to buy some 2 cell lipos... I'm a beginner in the lipo world and wanted to know how big of MaH that fit in the battery compartment?

The venom 5000s fit with no problem. Remember to flip the battery hold down over.

I think that pretty much any of the hardcase lipos will fit. You may have to grind some of the ribs in the bottom of the battery holder for the square battery packs. You will also have to take into account where the battery leads exit the pack which may require a little grinding on the chassis to work.

I have two of the Venom 5000 green hard packs and the wires come right out where the battery strap is. Anyone know of a different strap? Or better method to hold them down?

I run Turnigy 3600s and 5200s in my TC3. I don't use a strap to hold down the 5200 hard packs. I just velcro them to the chassis floor. I have bounced/flipped/rolled my cars off of plenty of curbs but the battery hasn't fallen out yet.

check out some ebay LiPO's I got some 4200mah 30c shipped to my house for like $18 bucks. They have been working great for me. just search 2c LiPo Remember they are not hard case if that matters to you, but they do fit in a TC3 with the strap flipped over.

The main leads on the Venom hardpacks that I see come out at the sides of the cases and would not interfere with the battery strap. You do not need the balance tap plugged in while it is in the car which would interfere with the battery strap. You will just have to make sure that it does not flop around.

Default Thanks

I bought a couple Blue 5000mah 20c 2s lipos.. they were only $20. I don't think they are ROAR approved since they aren't hard case.

To follow up, what is a cheap 5000mah 20c 2s lipo that is ROAR approved?
