You're absolutely correct and that's why scales are the "Best Method"
Why would anyone go out on the track with different droop, shock lengths, and/or preloads on your car and expect it to handle or be balanced You also need to use setup wheels to ensure even positioning and weight.
Therefore, the only variance from the scales to the track are wheels, inserts & tires...

Hi,
Don't know if this has been asked before but can you convert a 416 too a 417 ? and does alot of the parts from a 416 fit the 417 ? as I was thinking of getting a used 416 with spares and later on converting it to a 417 and/or using the 416 for spares etc.
Thanks.

Nope, it would cost more tO buy the parts than it would to buy a new kit.
Some parts are the same (suspension blocks, arms, diffs would fit in the bulkheads) but all the rest of it is different.

I raced my 417 tonight on a very tight indoor carpet circuit on foams.
I am amazed how fantastic the car handled! I didn't run additive (burns my skin) I made a few changes based on my old settings but the consistency, grip and rotation of the car just helped me steam straight up to the front of the field.
Sorry if it's a bit of a pointless post, just really pleased how well it drove!

If I want to use the separate suspension mount of the TA05, I need to use the 1C-1XC for the front, and the 1A-1XA for the rear, right ?
