They had to go change the diff rings again. Now my diff master isn't going to work. Dang!

HI All
I test my 417 this Sunday, I just say...so Fxxing great!
I copied Jilles's base setup but only keep the steering brace spacer 3mm as the manual. At the start, it got a little understeer. So I changed the rear upper bulkhead spacer from 4 to 3mm and felt better. My conclusion is 417 is better than Mi4 or BD5 in this LiPo dynasty which has more better balance and weight transfer. You don't need to have much "hole" on your chassis then you get good grip. And the upper deck feels more elasticity than older ones.

I'm not a good driver, so waiting for advanced setting!!!

Finished my build yesterday. I haven't had a graphite chassis for a while now and I might not know something. What is the easiest way to change the motor and make adjustments. It seem to me unless you use the stock spur gear it's hard to have access to one of the motor mount screws and I can't reach the pinion screw unless I have a special tool. I ended up taking out the upper deck and spur gear before I was able to mount the motor.

dont hold me to this, my 417 is still in the mail, but dont you access the pinion grub screw Via the bottom of the chassis?

Yes, I saw that a couple pages prior to posting but what about mounting the motor. What spur gear around 96 have the holes to access the screw? I'm running 17.5 so I need to run a small size spur than what is provided.

well I know what i'll be doing if my new spurs wont allow motor adjustment, mark where you need to go through and drill holes. only need to be 2-3mm and you could drill 2-4 holes to "even" it up if your really wanted

And I'm sure if you were to only drill one hole, you would never notice the difference, even if you weighed one drilled and one stock, the difference would be 2 pooftenths of 4/5's of 5/8's

Are all the parts available to builds a front ball diff yet? I don't want a gear diff as try are ok for mod but I prefer the extra tuning control of a ball diff for racing 10.5

RWRacing spurs from Nexus Racing... But you have to drill two 3mm holes to fit the spur assembly.

What size are the diff balls in the 417? Did they change them too?

Are you able to fit a 57 tooth pinion with the stock 111 tooth spur? Or do you run out of space on the motor mount slot?
