Do you use a servosaver?
If so, how long is the length of the horn from centre to ball?
Check below specs of the 1251MG.
It should be ok

Dimensions(mm): 40.8X20.2X25.4
Weight(g): 44.5
Speed(@4.8V sec/60): .10
Torque(@4.8V oz-in): 97.2
Speed(@6.0V sec/60): .09
Torque(@6.0V oz-in): 125.0

Bearing: 2BB
Case: Aluminum
25 Tooth Spline
Yes I do use a servo saver, the length between center to center-ball is 16mm (I'm using the standart servo saver that came with the kit with the big holes for the screw).
I mesured the throw, and it is indeed 60° (sorry to mention 70°, I was just guessing to give an idea of the situation).
So how come the servo is only rotating 60° while without power it can do about 80° ?
Am I the only one that my steering knuckle is 3mm away from the C-Hub ?

PS: My previous servo had a throw of 90° and a full rotation without power of 170° ( how come both of my servos would rotate less when they're connected to power?

Thanks again Roy

Without power you can rotate the servo horn about 170 to 180°
On power it is a lot less.
My servosaver horn is 17MM centre to centre.
Perhaps that is just what you need
I don't think you need the steering knuckle to touch the C-hub tho.
Just drive the car and see if you have enough steering

regards Roy

Cheers Roy, good to hear that it's "normal", well I hope it is
Unfortunately I won't be able to drive it before the new year, so I'll see later
Thanks again!

Do you drive a spool or diff in the front.
And what kind of blades you are using, or without blades.

hi guys, just curious, is there a difference in running the 111t vs 113T spur aside from the different FDRs you can get from the two? is there a difference in top speed/acceleration between the two?

or to make it a little bit more distinct, what's the advantage of running a small spur vs a bigger spur (or vice-versa) when running the same FDR?

Using a smaller spur instead of a larger one with the same FDR will make the car have a different rate of acceleration. The smaller spur will rotate a full 360 turn faster than the larger spur, hence your wheels etc will turn quicker etc. The top speed will ultimately be the same.

The only difference will be a change in weight distribution due to the motor being in a different position. Power will be the same if the FDR is the same.

Default Are people still using 2 o-rings at the bottom of their shocks?

Just like the title states?

I think I may have accidentally ovalized the shock shaft guide washers and thought I should try using 2 o-rings instead of the standard 1 o-ring with guide washer.

What are the handling/behavioral differences? Do the shocks still seal properly with 2 o-rings?

Thx!

Default 417X traction roll problems

At first, I was loosing the rear end in the long sweeper all week, then the car started to flip in the sweeper as well?? confusing as this indicated lack of traction followed by too much traction??

Played with all the normal suspect items (shocks/sway bards, roll center, etc), but the only thing that seemed to help was putting a new set of tires on (we have to use sweep at our local track)?

The used tires weren't that old....anybody experience this before...oh ya, running 17.5 blinky on indoor carpet.

Appreciate any experience out there...
