Good stuff Michael, grab the split 1xa blocks for the rear and that will make your car easier to drive on power, and get the HPI springs!

Hello, looking the 417X manual, I see that does not bring the battery holder. Support must be purchased separately?

Thank you very much. Best Regards.

exotek soft works great at Tamiya USA track which has med grip. it just keeps my rear stable even if i break hard during turn which is important when trying to pass and taking a different driving line. I have the motor mount brace off and exotek upper deck too and do not use sway bars. i love flex

Default What spur gear should I use for 417X??

I ran my 417x yesterday and it ran great....one problem though I used a Xenon 96 tooth spur (running blinky 17.5) and it seems to rock back and forth along the pins, as the mounting holes are a tad too big....what spur gear should I run so that there is no play??

When I ran the Xenon gear, with proper mesh, the play caused some binding issues between the spur and the pinion.

Thanks for any help

Anyone know of an alternate ball connector that I could use on the 417?
I'm looking for longer ones as all the setup have long upper arms the plastic ball caps dont threat very deep in the turnbuckles and they bend very easily. I used to run longer ball caps made by RPM on my shumie but the RPMs dont fit on the tamiya.
Thx.
By the way NPETRO,
apparently the hot bodies spur gear fits the 417. I was tempted to try it but I swithched to 48 pitch spur gears from RW racing for more teeth strenght because I have chewed up so many spurs in so little time I was getting frustrated and very few spurs fit the tamiya. Look into the hotbodies spurs if you want to stick with 64 pitch.

I thinks you maybe able to use the ball cups from the Tamiya off road cars they look longer and should be the same size, by the way why dont you just use longer turnbuckles?

The "bulk" xenon gears sold at speedtechrc fit great. Their 66t 48p is perfect for blinky 17.5/13.5

If the 417 is similar to the 416x you can run Xray spurs. I know Strictly RC and The Track both have them. I used an Xray 92T spur I bought from The Track at the last round of the Hurricane Race and it fits fine.

I'll look into the offroad ones. I have to buy new cups because of the wear and tear (and bent ones) and I was thinking to get longer ones while I was at it. The turnbuckles are much more expensive to get and I still need new plastic pieces.
Thx for your input.

Thank you very much! A query again, any idea that spur gear (111 or 113t) and pinion used for a Tekin Redline 6.5T?

Thanks again! Best Regards.
