Try and run a thicker insert then the yok med. I've run sorex 32r's with yok medium inserts and they didn't last long. I've got a set of 36's with yok med that I havn't really tested yet, but I doubt they will last a long time. I ran half a pack through on carpet and they gave suprising grip(I soaked them in compound for a week). Gave off a great squeal as the rears were pushed to the limits.

I've heard hpi red inserts are good with 32r's but I've never run them...

I personally feel that Sorex is a good combo with HPI inserts especially for hot tracks.

Where is a good place online to buy Take Off stuff from? I saw an article in a magazine about different products they offer other than just tires. I went to the link and it directed me to Schumachers site. And then could log in there? ANyone? Anywhere?

My bad....

I got some RIDE tires that came with a car my dad got off e-bay...
They say Bridgestone Potenza on one side and RIDE 6527 on the others? Are they 27s?

One of the tracks I race at uses takeoff 27's as their control tire's,The one thing I have noticed is performance falls off after 3 runs,I dont notice the same problem with the Sorex's,But on the tire issue,I have been running Yokomo sprints(firm with soft inserts)with as good of traction as my Sorex's or Takeoffs for half the money,As long as they work and last as well as they have I will keep running them..

when I used to run rubber on Nitro cars I always prefered SOREX.....far better than Take off....

But for eletric cars both tires seem to be excelent, I still prefer Sorex 32 instead of Takeoff 27, for hot surface Sorex all the way....but when the weather is cold I must agree that take off is slightly better....

So what have we learned here?

1) It's TOTALLY personall preference. Any 'what is the best blah blah blah' question always is.

2) The consensus seems to be that Sorex's last longer.

However, if you would have showed up to the Speedworld Cup, you would have seen that pretty much EVERYONE was running Sorex's. Why would the fast guys run them if Take-Offs were faster at this particular track? They weren't handouts or spec tires (like they will be for the Losi race). The only reason is because they were the fastest around here at Speedworld.

I'd guess that chances are - most average racers couldn't possibly tell the difference between the two (36R and CS-32's) in a blind test anyway.

By all means, try a set of Take Offs, but there's really no reason to run anything but the 36's up here.

The adverage racer would get eaten alive by our Sportsman stock guys

I use the CS-32's when the Sorex boys are bolting on their 36's

"sportsman stock" is such a misnomer anyway. You're basically saying "our slow stock guys are faster than your slow stock guys"
Well maybe they need to bump up to "expert" stock then

How long will they last?

Has anyone compared how many runs your get of good traction with each brand?

I've recently heard that, If you run mod, the sorex will last about three runs. I haven't tested this for myself.
