Yokomo budget racer

Yokomo hat gerade ein interessantes Experimentierchassis in der Bearbeitung. Das Layout auf den Bildern ist nur ein Schnappschuß der aktuellen Entwicklung und es kann sich noch viel ändern. Sicher ist, daß es 2WD Heckantrieb werden wird und eher ein Budgetracer.
Bei der Dämpfung wird viel versucht. Innenliegende Dämpfer hinten sind ebenso möglich wie konventionell angebrachte.
Der Maßstab wird 1/10 sein, allerdings etwas kompakter als bei Tourenwagen. Einen neuen Motor gibt es auch zu sehen. Es handelt sich um einen BL-Motor in 380er-Größe mit Sensoranschluß. Der Motor liegt aktuell zentral im Chassis.
Der Antrieb ist staubgeschützt. Alles soll auf niedrige Betriebskosten und einfache Wartbarkeit ausgelegt sein. Daß Yokomo damit im Trend liegen könnte, zeigt der enorme Erfolg von Tamiyas FF03.

Yokomo has just an interesting experiment in the chassis construction. The layout of the pictures is only a snapshot of the current development and it may still do so much. It is certain that there will be 2WD rear wheel drive and more of a budget racer.

When the damping is much tried. Internal rear shock are possible, as conventionally mounted.The scale will be 1 / 10, but slightly more compact than in touring cars. There is a new engine to see it too. This is a BL-engine 380s in size with sensor connection. The engine is currently the center of the chassis. The drive is protected from dust. Everything should be designed for low operating costs and easy maintainability. That Yokomo could thus be in vogue, shows the enormous success of Tamiya FF03.

What a waste. Yokomo should design a propper pancar like they used to do in the late 80's and early 90's and not some hybrid with independent suspension at the back and a pancar front suspension.:eek:

Speaking as a Yoke fan, that looks rubbish! It just looks nasty, and who will race it? I don't really see that it fits into any class.

I don't think Yokomo are intending for it to fit in a class.

Looks to me like they are imagining an inexpensive chassis to suit the "modern" era.

540 brushless is more power than any beginner (or spec class) needs - by going to a 380 you decrease costs and decrease demands on the electronics.

4wd requires a lot of extra components - so fit a direct drive rear-wheel-drive system instead.

Pan cars are unusable on anything other than a billiard-smooth prepared track - so fit independent rear suspension. Yokomo already have the tooling for the independent front end.

Add in some good quality bodies (like Yokomo have been doing for drift cars) and you have a very interesting product.
