Porsche 914/6gt

There is an ebay member selling Porsche 914 bodies for the tamiya m chassis. I bought one, then saw he posted another body later. So I think they are listing them once at a time. They resemble the Carson 914/6gt bodies. They may be the same company, I don't know.

Member id: racersparadise_de

They also have a website, all in German: www.racersparadise.de
They have a cool bodies for the m chassis like the Porsche 356, and for regular size chassis the Aston Martin Vanquish, Shelby Cobra Roadster to name a few. I can't wait to receive it and getting painted!!! :tire:

stock rims and tires size? it looks a bit out of proportion.

The picture is from their site. The wheels are for regular size 1/10 bodies. I have seen those before on ebay. The wheels I am going to put on it are for the m chassis cars which are proportioned to the body. I am doing the Porsche Cup car wheels from hpi.

Why buy the kit when you can get the body separate? Its part # 7211, the hard part is finding those wheels to go with it.

Yeah, those wheels aren't listed or available from many places. I found a place out of Oregon that has them. I will post pics when I get it all done. I wonder if Tamiya will re-release the boxster and carrera bodies for the m chassis?

You can set up the cup racer as a 2 wd fairly easily.

The problem with the cup racer porsche is that it is 208mm wheelbase. It wouldn't fit right on the M04 or M02. I think the M06 has the option of the very short (208mm) wheelbase.

Right, the HPI Porsche is 210mm wheelbase, and it says right on Tamiya's website that the M-06 will have a short 210mm wheelbase option, along with 225 and 239, just like the M-05 and M-03.

Here is a little teaser for my Porsche 914/6gt body. I am going to paint the inner spokes black to match factory fuch wheels. I am waiting on tires for the front wheels. I plan on painting the body lime green with a black targa top.

Timbulb 10-26-2010 04:54 AM

Are you assuming the M06 will have the same post locations as your M04?

guy7bmwm5 10-26-2010 04:33 PM

This is just one more possible body to use on the new chassis that is a rwd car. Here is a finished picture...
