does mini body that fit m05 fit m06? will regular 2 cell battery like this one fit m06? |
That style of hard case will not fit an M-05. It will fit an M-06 though. A mini Cooper shell won't fit on an M-06. The motor hangs out the back too far. You'll need to find a shell with a bit of room for junk in the trunk.
Suspension question: I'm rebuilding my dampers (Tamiya short damper set) and I'm looking for advice on total length. I put a 3mm spacer in the fronts, which leaves me with a length of ~55mm, end to end. There's no spacer in the rear, whcih leaves me with a length of ~58mm. Does this sound about right to you guys? I was struggling with unpredictable front grip last weekend with the front shocks at 58mm and thought clamping them down a little might help. jim |
Would this fit m-06 set a 225mm wheel base?

evil.mishi,
I'm pretty sure that the Impreza WRX does fit, think RC-Mini has a list of ones that do. I'm not sure on the CR-Z though, hopefully it does! |
Thats what I thought,
I ordered the STI one and a Miata body I will post pics of the finished product:) |
Was going to change to 2 degree Tamiya alu rear uprights from the 1.5 degrees.
I notice i have to readjust camber at the rear since fastning point are not same, how do they compare to each other? I put back the 1.5's since the car worked great with them. The other thing i notice was inner bearings on rear where worn out, my car is driven 4 racemeetings. It was brand new bearings installed on it. Anyone else had this? |
This may be answered elsewhere, and if so I apologize, but what are you guys using in the diffs for asphalt? I've used the A/W grease, and it seems way to thick/sticky causing the diff to feel to stiff, and my attempts at thinner greases haven't worked well.
I can't for the life of me keep the back end planted on this car, any time I pick up the throttle the back end wants to go around. I know the driving style is different from the M-05, but I can run my 2wd trucks just fine, I just cant figure this one out. Thanks for the help! |
I'm waiting to put a SpecR or similar oil gear diff in mine.
I see 3Racing are finally bringing some bits out for the M06, and there's a gear diff on there. http://os.3racing.hk/products_list.p...s_type_key=107 |

Tamiya re-releasing the Mazda Eunos Roadster (Miata) body set, anyone tried it on a M06 chassis yet?
|
I haven't tried the Tamiya Miata, but i have been running the HPI Miata and it works very well. Although i've just tried the HPI BMW 2002 Turbo body and that seems to work better for me on the M06..
|
My HPI bmw cup racer body should be arriving today. The hard case lipo with shape of stick pack is the type I'm running in the m05. I'm also going to run the Lancia body from HPI with the rally racing paint scheme.

I bought a lightly used M-03 to race at our local track.
Is there a M-03 Thread on RCTECH? I was not able to find one. In lieu of that, what I'm trying to find out is what bodies I have a choice of running that will fit the M-03. I know some are specific for it. The one I'm most curious about is the HPI Honda Civic R. Will that fit an M-03? Its pretty low profile. That's the one I want to run: http://www.hpiracing.com/press/7216.html Thanks for the help! |
