The experience at our track is the M03 is still fast (we beat two fast M04 drivers last time out) if you drive cleanly. The fwd is fastest through the corners; the M04 clearly wins the drag race because of its higher top end (full size tires and larger pinion). M04 owners still complain that it's difficult to set up right. That said, we plan to buy an M04 for next year's season and give it a try. It won the TCS nationals and hey, who doesn't want more speed? It will be a challenge. Too bad there aren't as many Tamiya hop ups for it.

BTW, hs anyone here built the M04L in mid-length size by taking out the little chassis piece? If so, which bodies (aftermarket of Tamiya) will fit? Thanks.
