Default EX10 Helios steering input adjustment

I'm hoping an on-road driver with experience with the EX10 Helios transmitter can help me out, here. I would like to find a way to adjust my steering settings so that when I'm driving down the straightaway, small inputs on the wheel don't translate into huge movements at high speed. I have been told in the past that on other radios, it's possible to set up your steering so that small movements on the wheel translate into very small movements on the steering rack, but large turns still give you the full response for cornering. Any help with this would be appreciated!

So the car is just a little edgy for you right around center? You can change the ST:CURVE on the radio. That will make your inputs close to neutral do LESS on the steering rack, but when the wheel is cranked all the way, you still have full steering travel for all those corner. If you want it to feel a little smoother, try a little more. If you feel it's too much, take a little bit out. Hope that helps!

Spot on. I'd start out with -10% and see how it feels, then adjust it to suit. I had to do that when running an Associated SC10 on carpet, it was just a bit too twitchy around the neutral point on the radio.

And for owners of non-KO radios with the same problem, look for Steering Exponential (EXP).

Default expo amounts

I have been running at least -40% on the steering exponential or curve for a long time. Anything over -50% and it starts to feel funky. For anyone running a spektrum radio the values are switched around so the beneficial expo is a positive value rather than the negative value on most of the other brands.
