Default Building Indoor carpet track

Howdy,

I am planning setting up a new indoor racing circuit where I live (Adelaide, Australia), initially it will be a temporary indoor circuit and perhaps one day will be permanent.

I have come across a stumbling block, what type of carpet is suitable for indoor racing? IE what type of carpet was used at the Snowbirds or the ROAR carpet nats? Are there any additives that need to be added to the carpet to prevent static or enhance grip?

Any tips welcomed

James

THERE IS OZITE AND OZITE 2.... THEY BOTH WORK WELL BUT ARE DIFFERENT,... I BELIVE OZITE 2 HAS TONS OF TRACTION.....

i have even seen black ozite...

calandra racing concepts, or CRC i belive is the us distributor for it...
http://www.teamcrc.com/

i have also seen some track use a automotive type carpet from home depot.... it works very well and is alot cheaper...

Ozite is an anti-static high grip carpeting I hear is also used in buisinesses that are filled with computers.

Very high traction

I am almost positive that Fanfare is what is used at the Snowbirds, and Ozite was used at the indoor champs. You can e-mail Mike Boylan (Snowbirds) and ask him about the carpet.
