Default Euro touring series - control stock speedo

Hi all

I am Looking to do the first round of the ets in the control stock class.

I was just wondering if anyone who had experience with the speed controller could let me know if it is comparable with the tekin/sp stock spec profiles.

Also what sort of gear ratio can we roughly expect to be using in this class?

Many thanks

Hey Mark,

I've only tried the GM Genius 120 esc in stock settings ( 0 deg timing ) and that was indeed about the same as the speed you'll get from the citrix. Throtthle and braking on the Citrix might feel a little different towards your own ESC but its a very good way to get some training in.

Gear hard! Due to the 0 timing you have massive amounts of torque and the motor has nearly no fading issues at all during the run. On Heemstede we were allowed to run 3,5 max and on Andernach this was 4,0.. I guess there will be a fixed max ratio for the ETS race in Kastellaun again, I would recommend to just run that max gearing.

I hope this is the info you were looking for.

hi there,
i personally have not tested the "handout" speedo. i have driven the sp v3 13.5T though in last years ETS season.

the speedo is very simple and has only 3 options you can choose from including dragbrake and 2 others. no motor timing stuff etc. so very easy to use.

gearing will be set by the race directors at the track. as each track is different they will adjust the FDR to the track. this is the maximum gearing allowed. at the race in heemstede i think it was 1:3.5FDR.
