my keyence allows me to set the frequency to my preference ...
from 0.1 khz to 24khz
i am using around 0.7 for punch or 3.5 for smoother driving .....
never went to 24

btw at 22khz will u still have punch ?
my car felt 'FLAT' when i went up to 10khz .....

hehe i am using brake 10khz as brake frequency tho just to keep wheels from spinning with dual or centre one ways

what do u mean that it will be easier on the cap if its set to a higher freq? dun understand ?

Just thought that the cap won't be drained so low in voltage on the 'off'-cycle as the cycle period is much shorter.

I always use 15 or 23 kHz.

Not yet. I'm not in a hurry in anyway. Perhaps next week. Perhaps I could take the car to work one day and really measure all the currents, waveforms and spectrums from the battery and the motor.

I didn't know my ESC's frequency is really that low compared to the current escs

JesseT

Do let us know what you find out with the waveforms and the capacitors effect on them. Must be cool having all those test equipments at your disposal.

As near as I can decipher, he's asking what Caps he can put on his ESC...

Well if that is so, then I think a 1000uF cap should be a good start then...

Rough512:
I still haven't tried anything new, but I happened to recall, that some years ago, before the introduction of high frequency speedos, all the electronic speed controls had a frequency close to 50 Hz. In those days (early 90s) three caps were always used on the motor endbell. Two small ceramic 100pF caps from + to can and from - to can. The third one was an 50 uF electrolytic capacitor from + to -. Does this begin to sound familiar? Well anyhow with the higher frequency speedos this third cap had to be changed to a small one too. So, perhaps the higher frequency isn't the better one in this case... I'll have to think about this...

Anyone tried the KoPropo Hyper Booster ?

Just curious about this product and its performance compared to other capacitors.
