Hello racers! So far the event is coming along awesome!!! I think more racers than last year!!! We do have a pit room we take reservations for but it sold out fast this year. We are taking a back-up list if you are interested shoot me at: [email protected]. We do broadcast into the hotel rooms and they have a couple nice table areas to work on your stuff already in there... pretty easy and pretty easy to do. Not a long walk to the ballroom at all. It's easy to race the 'birds and with extended practice on Thursday you really don't need to be there until then if you can't make it for Tue/Wed.

Lots of exciting stuff on our site please check it all out: www.snowbirdnationals.com.

Thanks everyone!
Mike

Things are getting good! Have some exciting news to announce maybe tomorrow. Also got some more racers from overseas today. Yes I know class counts and names I will try hard to get it up!!! Road is winning right now over 150. Almost no teams are in.. we are looking great this year for sure!!!

mike, do you have any insight to the class order yet for oval. i know 1/12 has traditionally been first out. my question is for the 17.5 car and sportsman truck classes, where will they fall in the order? thanks.

Class order not set yet.... we will try and have it posted before we head that way for sure....

Traction.... we are going to allow a few types of odorless traction this year for the race. Jack and Sticky are both approved. We will list what we are allowing on the site this week.

Hope to have the driver list up Sunday night (that is the plan).

Also the vote for Miss Snowbird outfits going on now...

And still some exciting news to be announced any day!

Mike

Same thing for road course? I am trying to decide on which two classes I'd like to run and don't want to chose two that are back to back.

From todays Facebook update:

"We are very excited to announce that John Catricala has joined the Thunder Racing Crew and will be announcing road course at the 2011 Snowbird Nationals! John is a highly respected and very accomplished race director and we can not be more excited and confident to have him part of the team this year. John owned FastCats Raceway in Canada, which hosted several successful National events over the years, and has also traveled doing race directing at many large events such as the Northeast Grand Slam Series. And many of you Snowbird racers already know John as he is the man behind the FastLaps practice machine we have all grown to love the past few years at the 'birds!"
