Default WHAT ARE THE BEST LIPO'S OUT NOW?

What are the best lipo's out for 1/10 scale touring car? The last ones I bought were the Thunder Power G4 Pro Race 50c 5000mah. I was wondering if there is anything newer and better, as every season it seams like there is a new battery technology.

yeah there is one better, the thunder power G4 pro race 5200 50C

stick with thunderpower and you will never be dissapointed. i have 2 packs and have almost 100 charges on each, never with a balancer and always at 10amp. they still run strong and no signs of puffing. and the performance is great from the first lap to the last one as i manage to hit my personal best in lap one and in the time rest after the 5 minutes race.

cheers

Ali

thunderpower still makes and supports one of the best packs out there, however, not everyone can afford to spend nearly 250.00 on a pack. For those that are looking for an amazing pack that don't want to kill their budget i promise you, buy one hyperion and you will never go back.

I'm sure that Thunderpower has made some good packs, but I haven't seen any yet. I've only bought one and it puffed after about 6 months of using it once or twice a month. It's the only pack I've ever had puff up. I have two friends that have also bought Thunderpower packs and they all puffed within 9 months. I won't buy another one.

The Hyperion ones that I have are really good.

I wont debate who has the "best" cells, all I can say is I have set several speed records both straight line and closed course (oval) using MaxAmps packs while others were using Thunder power or some similar brand and they have been unable to go faster.

2 cell MaxAmps 4200mah, 540 sensored motor 101 mph
4 cell MaxAmps 2000mah, 550 sensored motor 126.5 mph

There is nothing wrong with other companies products at all, just stating what I have done and like I said before it really is up to what you like and has worked well for you.

you can try the fantom lipos. they are thunder power just with a different label, and less expensive. thats what a friend told me. i use smc lipos. i have never had a problem with them. but other people have told me they have had them puff up. if you are running stock 17.5 to 10.5. you wont need anything more than a 25c lipo. if you are running mod 8.5- 3.5 then get a 50c lipo. goodluck on your purchase.

Andy Moore has just started his own battery company, I tried one of his LiPos for the first time this weekend at a UK national. His LiPos are so fast! I had one of the fastest cars in a straight line for sure.

I used his 5600mah 50C packs, I'm not sure what he does with them but they are crazy fast. I'd definitely recommend them.

I ended up buying a Thunder Power G4 50c 5200mah 2s for touring rubber tire and a 50c 5000mah 1s for WGT. I have 2 Thunder Power G4 50c 5000mah 2s that I have used without a problem.
