I just purchased a 13.5 and 17.5. I was wondering were to gear and time the 17.5 for sportsman 1/12. Also I am running 13.5 1/12 with a tekin and was wondering what tekin setups people are running and where to gear it.

Thanks
Tyler

For 1/12 scale 17.5 no timing;

Try a rollout around 4.0" with one tick mark of timing on the motor. Check your temp after 4min. I've heard of people running rollout's to 4.2-4.3" range but you really have to keep the car rolling during the entire race, no stopping and starting.

If this is to much drop back to 3.7-3.8" rollout.

BK is spot on as usual. These things like about 4 or 5 degrees of motor timing and around a 4.0 Rollout in non boosted 17.5 12th scale.

Is the 13.5 class boosted? If so, send me an email at: [email protected] and request our 13.5 boosted 12th scale setup sheet. If un boosted, I can forward you that setup sheet as well.

Default MurfDogg Products Dominate The 2010 US Open Wheel Champs

Team MurfDogg had a great 2010 US OPEN WHEEL RACE!!!

Billy Fischer TQed round one, won the dash, and walked away from the field for an almost 2 lap A-Main win in Modified Sprint. Billy used all of MurfDogg Racing's current products in his Custom Works GBX2 Sprint Car. He used MurfDogg's SYNERGY 4.5 Turn Brushless motor upgraded with our ceramic bearings, MurfDogg's SuperCharger 5500mah 65c Lipo batteries, as well as our new Ceramic Bearing set and Silicon Nitride diff and thrust balls.

Max Flurer also made the A-Main by bumping through the B-main with his MurfDogg powered car. He also chose the SYNERGY 4.5 turn motor, and 5500mah 65c lipo pack, and had his ride fitted with our ceramic bearings and Silicon Nitride diff/thrust set! Unfortunately, Max's run to the front was ended early as he caught up to a wreck and had to pull his car shortly after.

Thanks to everyone who chose MurfDogg Products at the 2010 Open Wheel Champs.

Matt

I asked Billy if he wanted more, and he said NO! I got plenty! A term we use in modified Oval racing is "to run out the back door". Usually in modified, when you have monster rip, you fade pretty hard either voltage wise, or motor wise due to heat...

After the main, Billy said it ran "out the back door, down the street, around the corner to the liquor store, and came back with a bottle of Jager"!!! LOL...

Yes we had fun that night after his win!!! The rest is things we don't speak of...

MurfDogg Lipo packs...

Available early February... They are at ROAR's lipo test facility as I type, and should be ROAR legal February 1st. We are going to start a pre-order list that will become available once we get word from ROAR and we have them ready to ship.
