POOKYT - There is nothing different other than the shrink wrap, RC racers need to become more educated, large corporations are trying to pull the wool over your eyes. Numbers are numbers, period!

studysession - I will tell you exactly the difference below.

I haven't ventured into this thread or into electric for that matter for sometime. I felt I should get online though today and see how all the battery wars are going. At the beginning of 2004 there were so many companies chasing the low prices of Kinetix RC and a lot stress among companies trying to degrade Kinetix at the same time in order to boost sales. So I wanted to come back and see how it was all working out, and to my astonishment, no one seems to be in the same ball park with Kinetix pricing.

Kinetix pricing was not a fad, Ron started the pricing war and he always said he would finish it. So he stood by his word and is still offering the lowest price packs so you the racers can afford more things to make you go fast. Why does he keep his prices low when he could at least match what everyone else is doing and make out like a bandit? Because it was a promise made and kept, simple as that.

Now go get your Kinetix 400+ 1.175+ for $54.96 at http://www.kinetixrc.com

To answer the question above, if you go with a leading manufacturer name, than you can't go wrong. The next decision should be on price and than what ever makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside if you still can't decide.

Oh and one more thing, this crap about going to websites stating that they have the lowest prices on packs and what have you, give me a break. If you want to buy from a company that 1) doesn't have a clue what the pricing is out there in their industry or 2) is willing to lie to your face when they sell you their product, than all the power to you, I personally would go with honesty.

Please be aware that these are not the views of Kinetix RC, I do not own any portion of the company, I race for them and own my own RC business, owned a hobbyshop, and raced since 86'. This is also not directed at any one company, it is RC market in general and not just batteries. Stop and think about what you read is all I ask, I see more lies than I should.

Thx

I figure - if the GP3300's or what ever battery you want to get is a high quality battery. Everything is matched as closely as they can and you get a good price. That is all that matters. But these other companies bashing everyone else when it is same battery and trying to claim that their GP3300's are better and everyone elses is not. That is the part I don't like and do not understand.

Thx again.

Default Don't understand

It's called marketing. There is no restriction against a matcher saying that their batteries are better than anyone's elses. So, if I were a battery matcher, then of course I would consider saying that my batteries are the best. Some matchers place sales over honesty, and some don't.

That being said, even though everyone gets their GP cells from GP, there can be considerable differences in the matching process, yielding different results. zapping adds voltage to the battery, but do it wrong and you're sol. The number of cycles and the environmental conditions can also affect how well a pack keeps its match. Anyone can take turbomatcher results and match up close numbers, that doesn't require much brainpower. But, creating cells which keep a match and strong performance for numerous cycles is a lot tougher problem.

I happen to use another matcher's packs for racing. I have nothing against Kinetix at all, it's just the way my purchasing went this time. However, I think that Ron has done a great job with marketing his brand and keeping honest. His prices are competitive, and he has the results to back it up.

studysession - Right there with you, it is one thing to market something that is different but another to market something different when it is the same. It is recycle marketing and actually is insulting to our intelligence, sad thing is it's working.

071crazy - You won't find one sentence concerning quality comments from other matchers in regards to their batteries. All my comments were directed at costs and companies posting how they have the lowest prices on the market which is a stretch of the truth. Another misconception is that there is something different with SP2 or Zebra, they are the same cell just hand picked. Either way when you get a non-SP2 and an SP2 cell and the numbers are the same, then they are the same.

Yes matchers have different processes and the ones that yield bad results you would know of by now through means of the internet/track. The ones to be concerned with are new names, thus why I mentioned going with a popular name.

Hi Ron,

I hope things are going well. I tried to order a couple packs on-line but after I set up an account and tried to check-out this message came up and it wouldn't let me continue.

This is currently the only shipping method available to use on this order.

Zone Rates
No shipping available to the selected country.

You don't ship to Canada? Is there a distributer that I should contact?

I would appreciate any information that you could provide on this issue.

Thanks,

MM

That is because you live in Tennessee and I live in Texas

I don't think I will ever go back to Snowbirds, well maybe someday but not anytime soon.
