Hey guys,

I've had this idea for a little while now...not sure if it's original, but I'm going to paint a Mazda Furai bodyshell (google it if you haven't seen it..quite incredible) and paint it in the Mazda 787b orange/green scheme. I've wanted a 1/10th 787b for ages, but can never seem to get one for a reasonable price, so I'm doing this to satisfy my urge!

I'll post pics when done...hopefully within 2-3 weeks.

Cheers,

Steve

I can remember the jaguar as a kid tearing it up in the late 80's. I would like to be able to see one of these run around again.

Yeah, those were great cars. I also watched them regularly when they came to Road America.

Some of them still do. The GTP ZX-turbo was there last year for BRIC. 2 years back someone had brought an Allard J2X (Judd powered, I think.. I still have pics of it on my phone somewhere) and one of the Group 44 Jags. There are typically a couple of 962s as well.

I know they still run the Silk Cut Jags in support races for LeMans and at Silverstone. I think there's maybe 1 XJR-14 still in existence that occasionally blows the cobwebs out at Goodwood, but the other chassis' were cannibalized to build the Mazda MRX-01s and the 1996 Porsche LeMans winner.

McAllister racing just released the new Corvette Daytona Prototype shell. That was a awesome looking car in full size trim as you may have seen last weekend (at Daytona).
Also Bob Stormer has released a 1/10 scale TOJ body shell (old school by also awsome).

You do know that Jaguar's F1 program became 2 time World Champ Red Bull after Red Bull bought the Jaguar team from Ford for $1?

What do I need to convert an F103 for Le Mans? Just the bumper kit w/ posts and a body? Or more?

Depends on what body you want to run.
Is it the Toyota TS020 or the Porsche 911GT1 then yes only the front bumper and perhaps a set of F109 front arms to dail in the camber.
If it is the Mazada 787B,Jaguar XJR12,Mercedes C11 and the Nissan R91CP you need a longer wheelbase.
Don't know for sure but the indy chassis may be good for that or the F104 as that one has a longer wheelbase.

regards Roy
