I'm still itching to get my hands on one of the (Speed Passion?) Audi R18 bodies! I've been checking their Facebook page and SpeedPassion.net, but no dice yet.

Default Furai

Found this body when I purchased an ESC for my drift car - SpeedPassion / East Coast body Mazda Furai. It's not a new release by any means, but another option for a prototype body. This one can fit some touring cars - specially ones with low damper mounts. I think it would look good painted up in 787B livery

Mounted on my TRF417x :

Ok where do i go from here?
I got what i think is a Tamiya F103RM ?
As you can see it`s pretty beaten up, but I`m afraid of ordering new parts before i know what chassis i`ve got..
I`m wondering if the Rivall bodies will fit this chassis?

Its an F103 and that's all that's really important... order parts for an F103 and you'll be fine. That being said the RM did come with pivot ball rear suspension so keep that in mind when ordering,

As for the Rivall body your guess is as good as anyone else... I know a lot of people want one

Mounting points for the front of a GT/LMP/prototype body will require the front bumper from an F103GT or something like this: ABC front bumper

The rear mounting points can be done with longer body posts on the upper deck.

If you are planning on running touring car / sedan type wheels - you will need the front and rear hubs from an F103GT.

You need to turn round the upper deck, so the body posts are at the rear. To mount a GT shell on it your options are either to get a front bumper to mount the body posts on, or the cheap and simple way is to use the two holes in the front suspension arms to mount a pair of body posts.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have taken the car apart now and it`s in pretty bad shape, cracked engine mount, back carbon plate starting to deleminate etc. You guys wouldn`t happen to have a link to the F103 manual, so i can study this thing more and find out what parts i will be needing. Pretty much all the plastic parts gotta go so i can cen those beautifull Tamiya blue alu parts
Had i know it was in this poor state I`d just buy alle the right parts online and make my own franken car... Oh well i only paid about $40.
The Rivall web page was a bit confusing, I`ll drop them an email tomorrow

I've been there, better get a newer chassis and keep what you can of the one you got. It will be cheaper that to upgrade it.
My guess is your chassis is a F102 or even a F101.

You can get a new Tamiya F103 Kit wth Lotus body for $163.00 (shipped to USA)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-1-10-...item53f585cc70

Let us know how your doing

Thanks for the tip, that sound like a better (and cheaper idea...)
Have you seen the new Speed Passion LMP chassis, i wonder if that is a smarter route to go...

Its definitely NOT an F102 or F101 as they have a completely different front suspension which requires a different chassis plate to mount on, as well as having the servo mounted flat against the chassis rather than on one end like the F103. They also had a completely different way of mounting the rear shock as well as completely different motor mount plate when compared to an F103.

3Racing make a lot of good option parts for the F103, especially considering their F109 is almost a complete copy except for the more "modern" rear suspension
