Well removing the paint isn't so much of an issue as touching it up afterwards...it is going to be difficult to get a perfect edge when removing the paint so likely you'll need to remove a little extra, mask the head lights, then repaint...but when you do that often the paint doesn't match exactly.

I had to ask for help to paint it (and lots of help I got ), I am not even near the skills necessary to do the cuting/ fixing job. But I will try un-painting once the wash arrives and let you guys know.

Thanks for the advice

If it doesn't work I can do some stickers and off to the race track

Just got the Tamiya Nissan R91CP (Group C chassis). Was looking to build a cool looking fun to drive car.

Group C hop-ups from a Tamiyaclub thread (some discontinued, but found on ebay):

53074 F-1 Brake Lamp Unit (7.2V)
53090 RD Tire Cap Set
53091 RD 6mm Glassfiber Rear Shaft
53097 4x42mm Titanium Countersunk Head Screws (4 Pcs)
53101 RD 0.4 Steel Pinion Gear Set (20T & 21T)
53102 RD 0.4 Steel Pinion Gear Set (22T & 23T)
53103 RD 0.4 Steel Pinion Gear Set (22T & 23T)
53104 RD 0.4 Spur Gear Set (93T, 104T) (Racing Developed)
53106 RD Aluminium Motor Mount
53116 RD 6mm Carbon Rear Shaft
53117 RD 0.4 Steel Pinion Gear Set (26T & 27T)
53119 RD Special King Pin Set
53124 3mm Tungsten-Carbide Diff Ball Set
53136 One-Piece Ball Thrust Bearing
53151 F-1 Diffuser Set
53173 Formula Car Low Friction Aluminum Damper
53184 RD Tire Cap (Soft)
53391 Formula Super Low Friction Damper Set
53396 RD 6mm Titanium Rear Shaft
53900 04 Module Spur Gear 93T/104T (F103GT)
53901 TRF Special Damper (F103GT)

Picked up an aluminum motor mount on ebay. Also was thinking of doing the adjustable front suspension that uses Cross Racing 1/12 parts (CS-17K) like the Group C on pro10-classic.com.

After Iím done with a couple other cars, Iíll start building the Nissan. Canít wait to start!!!

When you get the car built, come on up to Camarillo! Looks like we will have quite a few of the Tamiya Group C cars racing in the next few weeks. I just finished resurecting an original kit I found in a buddys garage!

I've never raced before, but why not? I'll make sure to stop by Camarillo, CA some time to see you guys run. For me, I enjoy trying to paint the body like the real life Group Cs, which is why it's taking me so long to finish my other cars.

Your original Tamiya Nissan R91CP looks great and brand new. It's great you brought the car back to life.

For anyone interested, there's a cool article of a step-by-step build of a Nissan R91CP Group C on Tamiyausa.com by Eric Paley.

Dear C group Gang,

The last months I been creating content about F1, ALMS, Grand AM, NASCAR Mexico, for on line media and racing drivers sponsors in Spanish.

This is the first ever Racing Web-Novela in English, I wanted to share it with you guys, this one is F1 but hopfully next one will be for the ALMS, please let me know your opinion and ideas to make it better.

It's being launched on Twitter, Facebook, You-Tube and other specialized websites tonight.

Cheers,
Marcos

Default Porsche 962/962C

Tamiya needs to release another GTP car, a Porsche 962 as well as re-releasing all the other GTP/Group C cars. I'd love to see something like in the photos below.

Default Tamiya F103GT Courage

Hey guys does this count? Tamiya Advan Courage LC70 Mugen F103gt
Ive had this in the garage for years. It has two pristine bodies, the factory painted body and the one I painted see below. (one ding from the boards at Tamiya Factory Test track) I think mine came out better than the factory version. I am missing wheels for this. I was hoping to find something more blingy than the black stock ones, I found the gold rims, but they have interference. Any suggestions for some cool looking wheels for this?

If Tamiya would release the Porsche 956/962 Canon, I`m selling all my runners.

They have most of the famous ones i kit 1:24
All we need is a new pan chassis, maybe with the rm-01 we can see a 1:10 scale pan car to :-)

Not a C but a WEC - Le Mans contender like the the C were in their time so welcome.
I say use Tamiya sedan black mesh to keep it scale, not sure if 24 or 26 and check the offset most likely 0

Cheers!

Her is the 1/1

Which of these will fit a Tamiya f104 well?

Andy's RC used to make a killer XJR10 short tail in the old 1/10 235mm.
