Default Help with race classes

These are the race classes at my local outdoor track. I am looking to get into on road electric. Whats the best bang for the buck class in the classes listed below. I dont really want to drop too much $$ and tuning into these because im really an off road guy. I just want to go out and have a good time at the track.


Electric Touring
190mm 1/10th scale 4wd electric touring cars
Limited to 17.5 brushless motors
Any ESC, any battery (2S LiPo or 6-cell NiMH)

1/12th Scale
1/12th scale 2wd electric pan cars
Limited to 13.5 brushless motors
Any ESC, any battery (1S LiPo or 4-cell NiMH)

RCGT
Any GT Body (190mm or 200mm), no race bodies
HPI X Pattern Tires on Spoked Rims
Limited to SpeedPassion Cirtix Spec ESC/Motor Combo
Any battery (2S LiPo or 6-cell NiMH)

RCGT!!!!

I ran a Cirtix Club Spec RCGT car this weekend to get a feel for the speed. Fun, Fun, FUN.

Drop your equipment in the car and go have fun.

I chose RCGT Citrix Spec 17.5 class at my local track for the exact same reasons you stated above. I am an off-road guy with a decent enough budget to afford premium components, yet I got excited about the Spec class.

another vote for rcgt

and if you really enjoy racing u can take the same car and spedo and move up to stock touring (as long as they dont alow timing boost)
