Default 3racing battery strap?

i have a nexxus 2s lipo that weighs 9oz and measures 5.3"x1.9"x.71" and since it's a lot thinner than a sub-c, would the 3racing battery strap be able to hold it securely in place on an hpi rs4 pro4? also, it looks like holes would have to be drilled on the chassis to screw and mount the brackets?

If it helps, the plastic mount on the battery strap's holes are 42 mm apart. It can fit a Orion 5000 2S with no problems. (137mm x 44 x 23)
