Well I haven't tried anything else but exceed so far but I have only raced three times with a 12th scale and have been significantly quicker than guys running speedminds on the asphalt tracks we have here in oz. I will be able to tell you a little more after racing on carpet this weekend.

their tire is pretty good. They only come with soft , med or hard... Only 3 choices. However, i found the wheels cracks quite easily.

Yeah they have a lightweight rim... The rim itself is plenty strong as far as I have seen however the flat outer edge can crack with any decent hit. The good news is that a bit of super glue fixes this up real easy. I am hoping they are at least one of the gun tires to use as they are easy to get here in oz...

the tires are great...i ran them tonight on our track(med to high bite carpet)..they are easy ...only 3 types..i ran med up front and soft in the rear...the car was stuck to the ground...cut my lap times .3 ...were consistent the entire run and then some (12min)...this is my new tire..no need to worry about choosing colors anymore...

Well we just got back from practice for the indoor state titlea here in oz and on the carpet everyone who has tried exxeed tires on their 12th has gone faster with them. It seems to be med fronts with soft or medium rears. This is for what would be medium bite carpet which does not allow the use of traction compound.

Has anyone noticed any difference between the carpet compounds and the non carpet for the exceed 12th scale tires?

Real good just they need to go onto better rims that don't crack, also they tend to chuck easy, need better gluing.

Jaco's are known for being very hit or miss. I would say you could rely on the exceeds alot more. I have recently switched to CRC's and they are much better again.
