R/C Tech Live @ the 2004 Reedy Race of Champions
Hi all,
Thanks to other factors in my life, I made a surprise (permanent) trip out to California last week, which means I get to do some bonus coverage of this year's Reedy Race of Champions, taking place this weekend (May 27th-30th) at the Tamiya USA headquarters in Aliso Viejo, CA.
If you're looking for more information about the race and its rules, look here: http://www.tamiyausa.com/events/reed...004/index.html
I've already got a bunch of photos to post tonight, and will be sitting trackside with my notebook throughout the weekend for Top 10s and whatnot, to keep you all well informed.
As an added bonus, IF I can pull it off in time, R/C Tech Subscribers will be given access to a couple of race videos (probably around Sunday night). There will probably be other videos out there somewhere, but I'd like to say "thanks" to those who have supported the site.
In the meantime, use this thread for all your Reedy Race discussions, and I'll keep you posted on everything I know.
Thanks!

Man, and DelMar of all places.
Hope you enjoy CA and make enough money to keep up with the cost of living over there.

A bunch of my friends from Wisconsin moved out here over the past few months, so we're all working together and splitting costs.

There wasn't much of a crowd actually... a few spectators but mainly just racers. There was about an hour worth of rain that delayed things in the morning, the final round of practice should just be wrapping up right now.

Matt, I hung out with Bob for a bit, he is racing! Timmy didn't make it for some reason. I talked to Paul for a little bit too.

Jeff: I haven't seen much new equipment-wise. The best I have is some shrouded info on the new AE car: "it's really cool, and has some great ideas in it, and is probably a few months off yet." All AE drivers are running vanilla FT TC3s still.
All the usual suspects seem fast: Masami, Hara, Barry, etc. Same as always. Tough to have any concrete information until the actual qualifying begins, of course.
Gossip-wise, nothing much... maybe will get some more tomorrow, we'll see.
