Angry I don't care how good the kit is the worst sin in RC racing is. . . .

A kit that comes WITHOUT a set to tyres to get you started.

So all you makers of RC cars out there get your act together, the last thing a person wants to do that has forked out his/her hard earned money to get into a sport is to open the box and go WTF no tyres.

no problem,
but that would be irritating to get no tires, but on the other hand, its somewhat smart to not include tires because you may not want the tires that come with the kit, but youd still have to pay for them. And with all the different types of racer and racing surfaces, it would be hard to find a tire everyone would be happy with. So i dont think they dont add tires because their lazy, but because they realze there is such a wide variety of tires that one specific tire couldnt please everyone.

many of the top level kits do not comewith tires because it gives the racer a choice of his own tires...most people don't run the kit stock tires that i know of...but they may for playin on the streets

Talking

This is true but my argument is that if your new to the sport you don't know what is good to start with sure you may well change them if you don't like them but what is the first thing a guy want's to do when his kit is finished. Not stare at the pretty ornament that's for sure lol.

yeah you're right about that Mabuchi540, i think it's pretty LAME that these top kits don't come with tires and inserts and/ or foams. i don't care if they don't for a particular track; i can always go buy new stuff. i feel that if you buy a kit, you should AT LEAST BE ABLE TO GET THE CHASSIS ROLLING.

Exactly why I crossed the Xray factory kit off the list. If I'm spending $700 Nz dollars on one car kit it better have tires, no tires no Xray.

If you can spend $300 on a high level kit you can spend $20-40 on the RIGHT tires for your track. My X-Ray FK didn't come with tires, and it didn't matter in the slightest to me. I run on carpet, so if the kit came with rubber tires it would have wasted my money because I'd never use them and still had to pay for them.

If you want a kit to bash with why would you pay the premium for a high end kit designed to race with?
