Default Motor question

Okay, I'm still learning about brushless systems and what I can and can't do with them. Now I have a Novak Havok esc with 21.5 Novak BL sensored motor. I use this setup in my VTA car, well in Sept. the new class spec motor will be a 25.5 bl motor. Can I just buy the stator that would normally be in the 25.5 and swap stators or am I stuck buying a new motor from Novak??

Yes Mike, You can just change the stator if you have a Ballistic 25.5, which we have here in the store already, if you have the 21.5 SS series you can send it back to Novak for an upgrade to 25.5 SS.

Thanks Eric. I just want to know what my options are.

I think we should clarify that a bit, it IS possible to change out stators to make it a 25.5, but only if your 21.5 is a Ballistic series motor. If it's a Velociti series(which has a silver can, as opposed to the black can of the Ballistics), then you'd need another motor(in which case you can try the Trade-In program as NovakTwo suggested)....
