What are the stock springs (and spring weight) included with the TC6? Wondering if I should buy a set of silver springs to match Herbert's setup.

the kit comes with silver(14.5 lb) springs in the front, and greens(12 lb) in the rear.

If you set up your car like Keven the silver springs in the rear really make the car turn a lot better. An inexpensive tuning for your laptimes.

I did not put thread lock on the back left on the bulkhead. The screws came out, the car hooked left into the wall.

That was the 4th run with a new car. So make sure your screws are tight.

hi, before i make the purchase, have some tc6 questions:

will a tc5 body fit on a tc6?

any problems with the initial build out, or any defects (tc5's diff was difficult for me to build bc of the thrust bolt and nut)?

Default Initial Build

Thought I'd check back in after completing the initial build. Let me start by saying my hat is off to all those that helped create the new TC6, and to Associated for putting out an excellent product for a fair price!

The build went awesome, I had no problem with directions (helped I built a TC5 though), and everything was there and it very close to ready to roll. The only Associated related issues I ran into was, 1 CVA that was not bored deep enough and bound after assembled, 1 arm that a hole was under and had to ream out, and the stock flathead screws that have the stamped letters were thicker then normal and stick out below chassis (replaced then with stainless RC screws anyway).

I did have to take out some slop in the arm mounts using a little CA let dry then insert pin...ALL arms and steering have close to zero slop, a huge improvement over the TC5 there.

Balance--Weight. WOW
With all electronics mounted and a Thunder Power 5300 the car balanced within 3 grams side to side, and on top of that weight is within 2 grams or Roar 2011 limit of 1380 grams! Incredible job Associated!

Test run will have to wait a couple weeks, this is an asphalt season build so I'll hope the debut goes half as well as the build and I'll be content.

Also side note...no wheel chatter at full turn (like my Xray...had to buy $100.00 worth of ECS's for ). Take the smoothest 2 CVA's and put on the front...helps to deburr the slots and the steel barrel nut for chatter free turns.

tC5 bodies will fit. for the diff and spool use the diff nut from the B4(offroad) keeps the diff bolt truer and stronger with alittle more thread. sorry cant remember the part #

I'm not using the B4 diff bolt and not had a single issue except for needing to rebuild one diff so far.

Heres a great bit of footage I recorded with my TC6...

Hey guys just gearing up for the summer months. going with the tc6 due to already have the tc5.

my question is which tires are you guys running. and why.

I race on asphalt and we use sugar water to help with traction.

So any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Default shock piston - what is the difference

Hi,.. the kit comes with 12 shock pistons (PTFE, part #6465) & also silicon fluid (40wt) for shock assembly.

May i know what is the difference between shock piston marked as #1, #2 & #3???
They all look the same to me (thickness & number of holes).

What other spec of silicon fluid you use besides going for the 40wt???

Kindly advise.

Thanks.
