I mainly run offroad 2wd mod buggy (new to onroad) and i'm about to build my new tc6.1. Is there anything special to do while building the kit? I know all the basic stuff like to check tweak, ream out the arms and make sure everything is free. Someone also told me that you're supposed to drill a small hole in the shock caps.

I'm going to run on a high bite asphalt track (West Coast RC) so i figure that the kit setup will be fine with 2k diff oil in the rear.

Rick Howart (sp?) has a better set up than the kit for WCRC. Also I did not drill out the shock caps. I built them like the normal. See you at WCRC.

Did anyone else have to add 2mm washers on the arm mounts for there duel cardan drive shafts? If I didn't I would get massive binding when adjusting the camber.

Are you using standard or offset mounts?

Be sure to polish all the black pillow balls with scotchbrite and a dremel.
They will bind otherwise. Once polished, they are butter.

Or switch them out for the AE TiN coated ones. I was surprised how much of a difference it actually made.

Yes. You have to widen it a bit. Had the same problem with my car.

Does anyone know if someone out there makes aluminum c hubs? I broke one last week so either metal or are the tc6.1 better ones and they fit the 6? I have 2 sets of spares in regular and "hard" stay with them or move to the 6.1 ones?

The TC6 ones are stronger than the actual TC6.1 c-hubs (bad mold flow). So stay with them or check these ones out:

Oh sweet!!! I have broken 2 right side ones within 2 weeks on the same lower spot by the arm. I let my friend drive it and he rub the pipes down the straight and broke, not hit or crash just a rub. 2 weeks ago I took my eyes off my car and hit the curb with the left side, but the damn right side broke??? Wtf

I have not broken the car is a year since I got it new, but I ordered the hard ones from tq so hopefully lightly hits will survive with them.
Thanks for the link
