I've had that problem with one set of shock. Solved it by sanding down the "shaft guide"/o-ring spacer and switched to RSD o-ring which seems to be softer.

Well, I think this car is finally right. I stripped it to pieces to un-tweak the chassis, and when I was done it sat perfect on my tweak board and with the scales at all four corners the readings were less than a gram off. I hope that means traction, because this thing owes me some.

So, what was causing the tweak?

I plan on running in the GT3 class and have a 21.5T brushless motor. Can anyone recommend a good Spur & Pinion combo?

Btw, my car weighs just under 3lbs. (2lbs, 9.7oz).

go back a few pages i think i read a fix where you place a 1mm washer under that end and helps take out the tweak

hope this helps

yeah that was me complaining about it before... I just leave the L-shaped bracket off and let the motor mount float. What helped since then was a teardown and rebuild with a different suspension setup, I still have work to do as the car has too much dive when I jam the brakes, maybe I'll try some anti-dive on the front.

Hey guys,

Since most of the new setups coming out from the team use the new vertical ballstud camber links, and I have the old TC6 style, shock tower links, does anyone have some kind of comparison between the different settings? i.e. if the setup calls for V3 setting with 2mm shims, is there an easy way to tell which setting would be closest to that for the old shock tower mounting?

You can also experiment with the removal of upper chassis deck screws (by opossing pairs) or use o-rings under screw heads to allow more flex and gain additional traction while cornering.

Can you post your setup? You don't specify if it's corner entry/mid/exit, and on/off power, so I would assume that you are having trouble getting the car to rotate. I would try to raise the rollcenter in the rear. So if you are using 0B lower arm mounts all around, try 1B in the rear.

Generally speaking, does introducing more chassis flex to gain traction on a slippery service benefit the front or rear moreso than the other? Or does it add traction equally front and rear?
