Don't know, the car was getting aftermarket support, before Hpi even released the thing! That's a good sign. Other companys are busy trying to hold onto their buyers, by trying to get a new tourer on the market, A.S.A.P.! Some of the big names in touring, have dated designs, with new cars from other manufacturers, that are lighter, have a more "free" drivetrain, and are better handling, being released. You can only release so many upgrades / hop-ups. The RACE for the lastest and greatest is underway!

If i had the ability to choose either car, i'd get the xray. While my Pro4 has been impressive; the Xray's balance, parts support, fit & finish and toughness, make it a better car, IMHO....

I'm sorry guys, but i'll say again - racers at my local track, who have Evo 2s, are breaking the same parts we Pro 4 owners are breaking with the exception of the ring & input gears. In fact, one of them told me, he breaks rear hubs a lot too! How is the Xray Evo more durable?????
I'm not talking about some HACK drivers, here! These guys represent the best!

Kewdawg - Your local track can break a tank if you hit the boards. I have always thought my xray was very tough...except at that track!!

3" PVC pipes with outside couplers = destroyed cars. You know that.

We're talking about what breaks on the cars, NOT what causes breaks. Whether it be indoors or outdoors, a breaks a break. There's PVC on indoor tracks too, ya' know?

True, but I never break anything at other tracks. Maybe I have good luck. Except for the occasional bent rim, my xray usually comes off the track in once piece.

LOL - Thats because my car was so fast that day! The car was so hot and it made the foam that I put the car onto catch on fire!! Oh well, it destroyed that chassis. Had to buy a new one.

My Pro 4 would've survived that inferno with no problem!

The ONLY thing fast about your car, that day, was the paint job!

If, you mean, being able set up the car, that's a given. Even that's not an excuse. He's got one of the fastest guys on the the northeastern seaboard, running the same car, racing at the same track! Getting set-up info is no issue.
