Kewdawg - Stop fighting, haven't you gotten into enough fights already? I think this debate has ended. Both are good cars. Buy the car that makes you happy and has good parts support and works with your budget.

Look John Butane,
I'm not fighting with anyone. I do think, some of us should get in the habit of reading the first few and maybe the last two pages, of the thread they're getting ready to post in. This way, they'd have a better idea of what's going on & alread been covered. Especially on a thread like this one, where we are only FIVE pages deep.

Are you coming out this weekend. or what? Ya' boy, Doc has been talkin' some serious smack(which can never back up)!

For all those racers that can't choose a chassis, check this site:

http://www.hpiracing.co.jp/contents/.../download.html

You'll find the Pro 4 manual and setup's there

Check this out for the X-ray:

http://www.mytsn.com/products/downld...prid=3734:nod:

Maybe when you have seen the manuals and know more about the techics used in the cars you can make your decision

so you say that the x-ray and pro4 are better then tamiya quality, sorry but i think were gonna have to agree to diagree on this one.

so have you built all 3 cars?
if you havent how can you comment?
i have built x-rays and pro4's for customers plus many others like losi's TC3 etc and my personal view is that none of them comes even close to tamiya kits.

Can't race saturday. Wanted to, but have a family function to attend. I'm going to be out there sunday though with just my xray. It needs to see track time.

Doc? My boy? What are you smoking. I don't think I've ever had more than a 2 sentence conversation with him. Lay the smack down on him. Hope you got your glitching worked out.

I have built all 3 and they are all high quality kits,If I would have to rate them it would be The Xray then Tamiya and the HPI,The reason why I put the Xray on top is they have the best manual and they do include the set up guide to help on the track..TRF I have no brand loyalty, and it's just my opinion.I did not think the HPI's manual is on the same level as the Xrays or Tamiya.

I have also built a tamiya Evo 3.

The quality of the x-ray and hpi are both superior to the quality of the tamiya.

Tamiya cars have a lot of play on the suspension wich causes lousy behavior on the track.

If you want to win and you're not a factory driver then you have to choose a X-ray or a Pro 4!

the only reason why the tamiya's are doing well during races is because they have good factory drivers wich all use new material every practice and race!

Awolsoldier was simply saying, that the Pro 4 and Evo kits are just as good. I don't think those cars are inferior to the current crop of Tamiya kits. They're all well built cars - they're supposed to be.

kewdawg.
For all you know, this guy here prays, eat and shit tamiya man.
And maybe even hug tamiya to sleep.
No offence to all tamiya people out there but there are cars out there with the same or even better finish then some tamiya cars.
