I've been thinking about getting a GFX, but $400 is a lot of money to spend on something. Of course I said the same thing before I got my M8. Is it gonna be one of those things where your upset cause you spent that kinda money then after using it twice you wonder how you ever lived without it?

Yes, the GFX rocks. If you don't want the heafy price tag, than get the Pitbull X3. Same firmware but less features

You know it!

Also big props to Jim. Even with my mods he doesn't mind working on the unit! He does mods himself.

Yeah, I have seen you post pics of it before. It is really cool. Did you just put a standard auto neon inside the case?

Hi,
For 6 cell GP3300 pack, what should you set voltage cut off at, 30 @ discharge 4.8v or leave it at 5.4v, When battery matchers state they match cells in Controlled Temperture room what temp would that be, Ony asking because i have just bought GFX 35, My Matched packs labels are way below the chargers discharge cycle readings, Anyone with any info to set up batt packs for charge/discharge cycle so i can grade my packs, any info would be great.

Voltage cut off is determined by the temperature of the cells at the end of the charge. I do not know what generation GP3300 cells you use, so its up to your descression on what you set your peak detect at. Generally a rule of thumb is about .03 to .05 for a CE GFX with GP3300's. If the cells are too hot at the end of a charge, drop down the peak detect. You want the cells to be around 135F at the end of the charge.

Discharge a 6 cell pack down to 5.4V @ 30amps.

A matcher will have their own specs of what the temperature should be when they match cells. It's up to the matcher to what they find gives the best results.

You shouldn't try to regenerate a matchers number on the GFX, it most likely won't give you the same numbers (firmware, testing procedures, temperature etc...) Track test them to see if they still perform to your standards. If they don't, looks like you need to buy more cells. Trying to cycle cells will do more damage than good because it puts extra stress on the cells and you're taking away another cycle of the cells where that cycle could be for racing your car.

Hope this helps.

John
