Default Ko Mars-R Owners

I searched for a Similiar thread and Could not find it. If there is A simliar thread That has my Answers I apologize.

I have a Airtronics M8 and I have Switched to Ko Propo Servo and Soon Reciever. I have been thinking of Switching Radios to a Mars-R. I am 15 years old and have a fair size hand. M8 fits in my hand Fairly well but maybe a Smaller grip might be a better grip. What I want to know is the Functions of the Mars-R better than or same as M8? My Equipments are xxl Reciever, Ko PDS-2123 Digital Servo, Keyence Zero Extreme ESC. Thanks alot.

Hello. I too use a M8. My son did also but has switched to the Mar R because they fit his small hand better. You will have the same functions with the Mars but the M8 is more user friendly in my opion.
I have not tried the Mars with other recievers, but works great with the KO reciever.

take care
john

I have the KO Mars R and love it. The menu is a little different than others but very easy to navigate once you read the basic primer in the manual. The best thing about the Mars series in my opinion is the fact that you have different levels that unlock the more advanced features as you select each successive level. (levels 1-4)

I use the XXL Receiver in my stock-class TC3 and have zero issues. While the Helios is newer...the Mars R is still a great radio. Just be sure to spend about an hour or so playing with the radio while reading the manual.

I've seen too many people with Mars radios getting frustrated or confused as to how to setup the radio because they didn't read the manual. So just like anything...you get out of it what you put into it. Put in the time to learn the menus and understand the features and you'll be golden.

Yes, that reminds me. If you buy a used make sure you get the manual for it. It cost me $18 or $20 to order on from KO and it's next to impossible to learn the radio without.

Yeah, im 15 too and the mars fits perfectly. I would highly recommend it and if you find one used in good condition it can save a lot of money. I bought a mars special edition w/ 3 receivers, 2 crystal sets, and manual for $165. I sold the 2 xtra receivers and ended up paying $90 total for a high quality fm radio. youll love it with the great features and looks
