SO the other day I was at Nitrohouse picking up some tuning parts for my Techno/DM-1 and when I asked about replacing the 2 speed with a single speed, instead of bringing out a center diff, the guy brought out the parts to make a center spool - just a gear on a adapter. Now that would really lighten up the moving parts of the drive train, but you'd lose some tunability, and the ability to set mechanical brake bias front and rear. Is brake bias a tuning function thayt really makes a difference?

I'm running a clutch and two speed on the DM-1 right now, thinking of that car as more of a big track car What do you guys think about the use of a spool vs. center diff in our 1/8th scale powerhouses for most of the tracks here in SoCal?

Here's a couple of pics of the DM-1. Thanks to SNG for the shock towers!

Clay
