Always cool. Have you thought about slowing the video down 1/2 or 1/4 speed? Might look like a full size race.

I'm trying to decide what steering servo to use in my GT.

I just bought a buggy roller that came with an Airtronics 94361 (200 oz/in, 0.10 sec). Should I use that in my GT, and buy a different servo for the buggy? Or use it in the buggy and buy a different servo for the GT?

I use an ACE DS1015 with the same specs and it works great. Plenty fast and plenty powerful for these cars. (very quiet too)

OK, sounds good. I never had an Airtronics servo before but it seems like it's pretty high quality.

I picked up some 3S 3200mah hardcases recently, so I think I'm going to run those in my GT instead of the 2S 5000mah. They both weigh the same, and I've been meaning to try a higher voltage, lower kv setup. Going to use a 1400kv Tekin or hopefully Viper if they release soon.

I think your'e going to need more voltage and motor to run a GT car. Most (including me) run 4s with 2200 kv to 2650 kv.

I'm guessing he plans on running 2 @ 3S 3200mah with the 1400kv.

Now that would make sense.

Sorry, I should have said that. I will be running saddle pack setup with either 2x2S or 2x3S.

The first SpeedPassion Silver Arrow ESCs were more or less a grenade with wires sticking out of it from all the reports I saw, but apparently they sorted it out with the V2's.

As for the motor, I don't think 36mm 2-pole motors are very suited for 1/8 cars. They lack the torque of a 4-pole Castle or Tekin (which are also bigger diameter which equals more torque and power handling). Some higher quality 2-pole motors can do alright in 1/8 like Hacker, but they are also larger than 36mm diameter and you will pay as much or more than a Castle motor.

I'd skip this system and go for a Castle or Tekin system, or at least a HobbyWing/Xerun. There is a reason it's $140 and the Castle and Tekin are $250-300.

Thanks for the advise....looks like I need to save $$$ for the Tekin/Castle. The HobbyWing/Xerun everytime I look on their website is never in stock.

You definitely won't be disappointed with either Castle or Tekin.

Hobbywing does seem to be becoming much more accepted now in the hobby, most of the stuff I've heard is good. I'd check on Hobbypartz.com
