That's a good looking body. When you say you used graphite shock towers could you give me a little more info? I was thinking I would have to make my own out of 4mm graphite. Did you find something ready made?

I may make the 410.3 into the GT8 instead of the EB48 as it was mentioned that the front shocks on the 410.3 were the shortest. I have seen alum pcs that bolt onto the lower arms to lay it down more. Those shouldn't be too hard to make from graphite. The M2C 17mm hex adapters look good and are a decent price. Should be able to get a rolling chassis going for around $420 and from what I've seen parts availability is better than the dedicated 1/8 on road cars. Plus the Tekno has a weight advantage.

What is the benefit of a center differential on the Mugen MGT7 Eco vs the new Xray GTXE which has no center differential? I am interested in buying one these cars (I know the Mugen is hard to find right now) and always thought that you don't want a center diff with 1/8 on road. Thanks for everyone's time.

You will have more control and grip on low to medium grip surfaces with center diff installed and tuned right. Center spool works well on high grip surfaces. General key is to use lighter viscosity diff fluid for loose grip conditions (20k-200k) and heavier viscosity fluid for higher grip conditions (200k+)

Any word on when we might see new cars? Looks like people are holding their breath some waiting on ROAR to get its act together?

IFMAR just updated their rules after some big race was run, so hopefully ROAR will follow their lead.

Assuming this is the most recent -> http://www.ifmar.org/html/pdf/rules/..._2018_V1_0.pdf

5* Kickup. Come on with the new kits!

In testing my 8ight-GT8 I re-read some old posts and made some tweaks to the droop and now it handles wonderfully. Look forward to our next outting to see how it stacks up.

New body for GT8 looks like!

TPro GT body | RCNews.net - RC Car News

Speaking of which, anyone have some brief write-ups on what bodies work well/handling characteristics? I have a Serpent McLaren body and a Deltaplastik Porsche GT1 and they are very different.

The F1 seems very neutral with higher top end where the GT1 is more top heavy (suprise) and has more drag with less top-end (even with the rear trimmed out a good bit.

I race nitro but I hope it helps. I've only tried the Blitz GT1 (thicker, 1.5mm option), Deltaplastik Toyota and Sweep P1L. All three are good, without knowing which conditions you have I wouldn't dare to suggest one. Here are my findings:
-I find the Blitz to be a great all rounder, maybe the best of the three if the grip is low to medium
-Sweep has the most steering out of the three, especially on long fast sweepers (see what I did there?), it continues to steer while the others want to push forward
-Toyota is in between in the steering category, but is very stable on high speed, I'd use it on a fast track with medium to high grip. Unfortunately, the 1.0mm lexan quality is pretty poor and after a few bangs it's in pretty bad shape.

There are also PF Corvette, Blitz GT2 and the Xray body. I don't have experience with them but people use them competitively. Would love to hear opinions.
