Default Losi: 1/8 L8IGHT Model Race Roller FS in the FS forum

New Losi 1/8 L8ight ready for your e conversion FS. I'm done with RC cars for the time being (I must be getting old, the obsession has finally worn off, LOL!)

Great looking car.

if you turn the rear body mount around, you can still use the original body post holes.

Default I tried that?

I tried that, but there was interference problems with the shock tower. Maybe I did something wrong.

Ok guys... Planning on purchasing a brand new Ofna GTP2.... What motor and ESC do you recommend?

I have tries the Tekin RX8 before and that was garbage. What is the good stuff? I know Castle is nice, but not sensored.

I run the garbage you mentioned and love it on my DM-1S. With a sensored setup and clutch, it's very smooth.

Well, since u don't like tekin, try out the Mamba Max Pro! Its runs senored motors and can provide smooth throttle action and can handle lots of juice up 6 cell lipo! You'll just have to pick out the right motor and battery for your application.
Lots of us race w/ 4 cell lipos and 2200kv-2650kv range motors. Want to run cooler but stay fast use a lower kv motor and up the cell count! The possibilities are almost endless! Its gonna be a good time this Sunday for some gt8 racing if you're in the so-cal region! It'll be held at hobby town corona off magnolia St! Lets get this started already!

We have a last fun race at the One-Eighth Racer's perminate track this Saturday(9/17). We are located in Northwood Ohio at the Woodville Mall. We get some racers from Michigan. You are welcome to come down and look around.

There are Tekin, Castle and TrackStar(HobbyKing) power set ups. Tekin has won all of our races. KV's are from 2050 to 2650 and everone runs a 4S lipo. There are a couple really good cars for sale.

We also run onroad/offroad carpet and RCP racing indoors in the Winter at the same mall.

There's an aerial view at the bottom of this page of our track. We have a great facility.

I'm going to go with Mamba then. I had three RX8 go bad on me, just plain shut off, just no luck with Tekin products.

Are the Neu motors sensored? If not what sensored motor do you recommend? Looking at a 2650.

Chris,

7 out of 10 .. Run Tekin on GT8. Nonetheless when any product fails multiple times.. You gotta give up.

My only complaint is the build quality of the RX8 esc.. Cheap plastic.. The case quality of novaks are hands down the best .. But they don't have a GT8 worthy esc.

2650!!!!!! No wonder you are so damn fast. Is that what you put in your GT-8 Lite last time we raced? It sure wasn't the same thing you were running in the previous heat. LOL!!!!

Nah!!!! He felt the pressure from u while u ate him up on the straight so he went to the dark side and threw in a 3 cell lipo in his GT 8 lite to crank it up!

I run the 2650 on 4s as well. Excellent combo for these cars, and very fast.
